The Beginning
In 2005, 22-year-old Fred Bohasu founded Bunang Baswa to help individuals reach their potential through motivational talks and workshops in South Africa’s townships and rural areas. With no funding or transport, he walked or used public transport to inspire youth and communities, laying the foundation for what would become Impact Amalgamate.
The Expansion
By 2008, Fred’s grassroots impact had drawn attention from schools and businesses beyond his community. As demand grew, the initiative evolved into a registered private company in 2009, officially launching Impact Amalgamate, focused on team building, leadership development, school camps, and corporate training.
With a growing team including Duncan Masotla, Tumelo Bohasu, and Tshepo Kekana, the company expanded its reach across Gauteng, Limpopo, Pretoria, Johannesburg, and Mpumalanga. By 2010, Impact Amalgamate was delivering people-centered programs to major clients such as ABSA, Anglo Platinum, the United Nations, and Mamelodi Sundowns.

Today, nearly two decades later, Impact Amalgamate stands as one of South Africa’s most trusted and experienced providers of team building, leadership development, and youth mentorship programs.
From corporate boardrooms in Johannesburg to school camps in Limpopo, our programs continue to empower teams, inspire leaders, and shape the next generation of change-makers.
What started with one young man’s dream has grown into a nationwide movement that helps people connect, communicate, and collaborate better across industries, cultures, and communities.

Our Community Impact
Bunang Baswa is a Non-Profit Organization (NPO) which is founded in 2005 by Director and Lead Facilitator of Impact Amalgamate Fred Bohasu, to Inspire, Impact and Inform young people across South Africa and other parts of Africa. Since 2005 they have managed to directly impact more than 100 000 youth and inmates and over 1000 of them have benefited from their programs. Bunang Baswa provides youth outreach programs that cultivates the next generation of responsible leaders by providing educational enrichment, mentoring, life transformation skills programs.
Bunang Baswa strives to be the change-agent in fostering excellence in the areas of education, health, and social well-being in Township and rural villages. Each time you use our services at Impact, you enable us to help many underprivileged young people across Africa.
